VINTAGE "IN THE GROOVE" MAGAZINES LOT
- 1946-1947 Radio Corp. of America. Each approx. 6" x 8-7/8", 12 pages. One & two-color litho.
Three issues of this classic monthly publication published by RCA Victor to promote their current stable of recording stars. Each issue is filled with stories, photos and 78rpm record release ads, all pertaining to the popular music trade.
The three issues are: March 1946, May 1946 and March 1947.
Notable musicians featured (majority being jazz/big band) include LOUIS ARMSTRONG, COUNT BASIE, DESI ARNAZ, SPIKE JONES, ROY ROGERS, THE DORSEY BROS., TEX BENEKE, ARTIE SHAW, DUKE ELLINGTON, BENNY GOODMAN, SAMMY KAYE, FRANK SINATRA and many more.
Scattered movie/TV star photos are featured with several actresses in "pin-up" poses (Martha Stewart, Carol Stewart, Betty Rhodes, Betty Hutton).

Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface creasing with several edge tears (largest being approx. 1/2"). Approx. 1/2" spine edge separation. All are complete and uncut.
Overall, we consider this grouping in very displayable and serviceable condition by most standards (see photos).
