    Condition: Very Good: The basket is dark due to its years in service: There is an area with a few damaged coils (see the photos).
    Description; this basket was made from gathered wild basketry plants in the typical Washoe single rod coiling technique with an oval start. This is a nice medium sized older basket that shows an expertly crafted useful form.
    The Washoe, a one-time semi nomadic tribe lived in the region near Lake Tahoe, and down to Carson City, Nevada.
    This basket was from a San Francisco Bay Area, California collection.
