    Description

    Architectural Mold Hand Carved Oak Base, Unique Pattern, Plaster Gesso that is numbered 7827. The mold depicts a decorative hanging floral leaf design. Found at an estate that had an unbelievable amount of wood carving tools. The surrounding base is oak and the mold body is possibly some other wood, but unsure because cannot see end grain. Hand carving can be seen throughout piece. Beautiful work that came from very talented hands. I found several molds and they are all numbered most likely corresponding to a specific project or designation section within a workpiece. The mold weighs just over 5 pounds and measures 18 1/2” long, 5” wide, and 2 1/8” high. Very unique one of a kind item. Please see pictures for complete detail of overall detail and quality.
