A particularly handsome basket with classic banding zig zag motif on body and forming a sunburst or star motif on lid. Recently professionally cleaned and detailed. Overall in Excellent Condition.

The Tlingit are famous for their fine, closed twined basketry of spruce root and bear grass (natural and dyed). This is an older and larger example, with beautiful colors and pattern. Very striking.
