Old Pima Native American Basket
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this old Native American basket. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This bowl-shaped container stands approximately 3 5/8 inches tall and it is about 8 1/2 inches long and 8 1/4 inches wide (it is not perfectly round). It weighs 4.3 ounces, unpacked. This woven basket has darker and lighter brown patterns. This piece will make a great addition to a collection of Native American basketry or artifacts.
Identification
This Pima basket was acquired in northern California. The exact age of this piece is not known, but it is vintage or antique.
Condition
The basket displays well overall, as shown. There is a split in the bottom, as shown in Photo 6. There are some scattered, missing stitches. There are some small breaks and losses (please see examples in photos). There is minor fading. The basket is not perfectly round/symmetrical. The basket has some dust in the crevices, but there are no foul odors. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.
Terms of Sale
1. Payments
Taxes may be applicable. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller before bidding or buying to find out about acceptable payment methods for local pickups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
International buyers, please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when the item is picked up; do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. The seller does not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts. U.S. and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
